Explanation of your spec, glyphs, gems, reforging and enchants: My spec (3/35/3) includes 2 points into pyromanic. There is a pyromanic bug at the moment which gives 5% spell haste even with one dot up on target. This is important because with a Boomkin (5% spell haste) and 3 points into Netherwind Presence puts my haste at 13%. A fire mage needs 12.5% spell haste to gain an additional 1 tick from Pyro, FFB, and LB dots. After reaching this amount of haste it becomes the worst stat for mages.

Int > Hit > SP > Crit > Mastery > Haste. I realize a few mages use 54 crit/3% increased crit damage meta; however, I do not. I use the 54 int/2% max mana meta. Not only does a mage sacrifice a huge amount of int to reach this 54crit/3% inc crit dmg meta, it is also stated in EJ that this is not the way to go. Furthermore, in WoLs the top dps mages do not use this meta (No matter if Premonition/Paragon/Blood Legion mages use the crit meta).

Cauterize is not only helpful for progression, it can also be used for aggressive dps in a very situational matter.

For prime glyphs most importantly is Molten Armor, Pyroblast, and Fireball. These are pretty much standard primes for fire mages, as they all increase crit. For majors I use Evocate (40% health regen along with 60% mana), Polymorph which removes all dots, and Blastwave which increases snare by 1 second (for fights like Magmaw, Maloriak, Cho'gall, Wyrmbreaker)

Naxxramas with Undying and Immortal
Ulduar with Herald of the Titans and Yogg0 (10man)
Trial of the Grand Crusader completed on 10 and 25 with dedicated insanity (argent defender) on 10.
For ICC10H I am 12/12 with Glory to the Icecrown Raider
with realm 1st HLK10
For ICC25H I am 11/12 (12/12N) with Glory to the Icecrown Raider
I have completed RS10H and RS25N (realm 1st for both)

In Cata I am currently 7/12 (BWD - 3, BoT - 3, 4 Wins - 1)


Why did you leave your last guild or why are you leaving your current guild? What other raiding guilds have you been a part of?

The reason why I left Misère was because the guild fell apart. An officer of Misère was unhappy and decided to create his own 10m. Those that shared his ideas followed him. Pretty much the guild was separated. I joined Vindication after the guild broke up because I knew the GM and was asked to help them with progression.

Being prepared is more than what happens during raid. It is also what I bring to table for the raid. To read, study and be prepared for all encounters is expected. To be correctly gemmed, enchanted, reforged is expected. To have all exalted rep 359's and Therazane shoulder enchants are expected.

^This was our last guild run on 12/21/10. My ilvl was around 340 during this time. The guild fell apart and have not been able to get one more recent. However my numbers will be substantially higher as my ilvl is 354.
